Non Executive Director- He obtained both his Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Masters (MBA) Degrees in Business Administration from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 1977 and 1981 respectively. He has over 22 years experience in banking working for various Nigerian Banking institutions.
He was Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of the defunct New Africa Merchant Bank Ltd from 1992-1997 and Executive Director First Bank of Nigeria PLc from 1997-2004. Currently, he sits on the board of the following companies as an external Director; Fidelity Bank Plc, PZ Cussons Foundation, Leadway Assurance Co, Courier Masters, and Associated Haulages Nig Ltd. He has attained various Management courses both home and abroad including the Advanced Management Programme of the prestigious Havard Business School USA and the Executive Management Programme in Strategy and Organisation of the Stanmford Graduate School of Business.
Kunle Jinadu (B.Sc, FCA, FCS) was before this appointment an Executive Director of the company. Holder of a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) Degree in Accountancy, Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (FCS) and Dealing Member of The Nigerian Stock Exchange.
His career spans almost 30 years with firms such as Deloitte Haskin & Sells (now Deloitte Touche, a firm of Chartered Accountants), Interstate Securities Limited (a firm of stockbrokers), and ANZGrindlays Merchant Bank Limited, which transformed into Stanbic Bank Nigeria Limited. At Stanbic Bank, he rose to the position of General Manager, Corporate Finance and held other offices simultaneously, including Head, Global Custody and Managing Director/CEO of Stanbic Equities Limited.>
He took early retirement in 2003 to establish his private consulting company, with which he played very prominent roles in the pension reform implementation. Prior to joining the company, he had assisted with the establishment of three out of the four pioneer Pension Fund Custodians licensed in Nigeria, including First Pension Custodian Nigeria Limited.
He had had extensive work experience having worked in a number of other jurisdictions including India, London, Ghana and south Africa.
He is an alumnus of both the London Business school and Harvard Business school.
Funso Sobande is the Executive Director, Operation & Information Technology, he has over 27 years of work experience spanning the financial services industries. Until his appointment, Funso served as the Group Operations Treasurer of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc.
Prior to that time, he has worked in various orgranisations within the Treasury function, including FCMB, First Security Discount House Limited (now FSDH Merchant Bank). StanbicIBTC Bank Limited, Standard Chartered Bank and Bank PHB. He also served as the Chief Dealer/Fiscal & Fiinancial Strategist at Central Bank fo Nigeria.
Funso obtained B.Sc degree in Economics from University of Ibadan, and a Master's Degree in Finance from Strathclyde University, Glasgow, UK. He has attended various training/courses both locally and abroad
Ms. Ijeoma Nwogwugwu holds a B. Sc in Accounting from University of Lagos and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Housing Finance from Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania.
A business leader with over 25years experience, ten of this in executive roles, with strategic management experience within the banking, media and public sector industries. She is a member of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, the Nigerian Guild of Editors, and has sat on the board of Nigerian Security Printing & Minting Company Limited, Daily Times of Nigeria Plc. and the National Hospital Abuja.
She is currently Editor and Director, Editorial, THISDAY Newspaper, a position she has held since 2012, and has held several positions in the organization prior to this appointment.
Ms. Nwogwugwu is an avid music and literary enthusiast.
Dr. Bayo Odeniyi (DVM, MBA) holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Ibadan (1980) and Master in Business Administration from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-IWoye (1998). He also obtained a Diploma in Computer Data Processing from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye. Dr. Odeniyi was a lecturer at the Tai Solarin University of Education, Ogun State. He had previously worked with Lagos State ministry of Agriculture and cooperative as a Veterinary Officer before joining the National Animal Production Research Institute (NAPRI) as a Research Fellow and was the pioneer Project Officer of the Small Ruminants (Sheeps and Goats) Multiplication out Station of the Institute at Ubiaja, Bendel State.
Dr. Odeniyi later ventured into private Practice in poultry and veterinary consulting in 1989. He has special interest and skills in the Planning and Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation of Christian Missions and Community Development Projects. He is a highly innovative, creative and enterprising, self motivated achiever, humble team player, having strong value for excellence, integrity, hard-work and service.
He is a member of various social, religious and Educational association including Rotary Club of Ijebu-Igbo, Molusi College Old Students Association (MOCOSA), Evangelical Fellowship of Anglican Communion and Tai Solarin University of Education Secondary School PTA where he has served in various capacities as Chairman, Committee member among others. He was appointed a Non-Executive Director at First pension custodian Nigeria Limited on April 1, 2009.
Dr. Olufunwa holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He is a member of the Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynecologists and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. He was Director on the Board of Westminster Clinical Commissioning Group and currently full member of the Institute Of Directors - London.He has over 35 years working experience, during which period he has developed a great measure of skill in leadership and has considerable board room experience.
Dr. Remi Oni is the Executive Director, Corporate Banking FirstBank Limited.Until his appointment on April 15, 2016, he was Executive Director, Corporate & Institutional Banking, Nigeria and West Africa at Standard Chartered Bank. He also had concurrent primary responsibilities for the International Corporates Client Segment business for Standard Chartered Bank in West Africa.
He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Ilorin, a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), as well as Master of Science in Public Health and Preventive Medicine from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He is an honorary member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), a member of the Equipment Leasing Association of Nigeria (ELAN) and the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA)..
Remi has also attended trainings in many renowned international institutions, including the prestigious Oxford University and INSEAD, Singapore campus. He is happily married and widely travelled.
